Ana Fatia was the only portuguese designer invited to be in Tortona Design Week, a design event, part of the Milan Design Week 2013, from 9th to 14th April. Ana Fatia and her collection, Mother Mine & All Of Us, were invited by Superstudio to integrate the 100 Best Young Designers of the year and represent the contemporary design 2013 as Temporary Museum for New Design.
Superstudio’s new project aimed at giving visibility and publicity to 100 international talents, selected for their originality and intelligence, who presented a single product or design or prototype representative of their creativity. We talk to her in exbition Temporary Museum of New Design.
Mother Mine & All Of Usis a furniture collection inspired by human anatomy. It drifts from the will to value the reflection of Ana Fatia identity, represented in the shape of a simple fragment, the most wounded piece of her own female architecture. Place where all human beings are engendered and formed.
The collection was built through a multidisciplinary net of agents from different quadrants and markets. This way the collection is also a means of promotion for the fine work and innovation of the producers, makers and partners of the portuguese industry that worked alongside Ana Fatia to achieve excellence suitable for international markets.
