Blufish restaurant in Beijing’s APM Shopping Mall resembles the underwater world of wonders. The Blufish restaurant was designed by SODA Architects, it was conceived to become an imaginary place where one can feel as in a vast pastel aquarium. The interior space of Blufish is predominantly white in color but intertwined with pink designs partially covering the ceilings and extending down to the floor to create a fluid and ethereal underwater world.
A mesh, translucent installation attached to the curved ceiling creates an illusion of waves while grey and pink terrazzo floors add a modern touch to the space. Gold and pink furnishings bring the feeling of luxury that is well balanced with serene white walls of the restaurant.
A narrow horizontal window allows the guests to peek how they order is prepared, as if they were watching ocean’s fauna through a submarine window.
In the past year, several new restaurants aimed at attracting female customers have popped up, presenting a fine dining environment for “besties”.
You can see for the pictures that the restaurant is totally a Fairy-tale right?
