Canvas on Edge are a collection of new sculptures techniques where Stallman is pioneered. They use paint and canvas as sculpture. The canvas has the leading role, creating form, highlight and movement.

Stallman brought the concept of traditional painting. They use to the structure of the canvas to give their works vibrant depth.
This sculptures are made of folding canvas and acrylic paint on framed panel.

The artists are Jason Hallman and Stephen Stum, or more popularly speaking, duo “Stallman”. The two combined their names to create their artist title.

“Creating together, one acts as the right side of the brain and the other the left. This union dissolves the boundaries of what is possible turning the ordinary into extraordinary.” – says Stallman.

They find inspiration from patterns in cellular biology and gradients in the natural world.The duo currently has an exhibition of new works at Hall | Spassov Gallery that continues until September 30, 2015.
