CONTEMPORARY DESIGN TREND EDITIONS
Casaplata is a restaurant and cocktail bar in the very center of Seville, by Lucas y Hernández-gil’s Architects. A space inspired by the Georgio Morandi’s still lives colour pallet and atmosphere, this project contrasts strong color pieces that stand out from all the gray silver background canvas.
The studio Lucas y Hernández-Gil created a space full of contracts and play on feelings making an industrial atmosphere fulled with touches of comfort, serenity, honesty, intimacy, all wrapped in a contemporary modern space.
From the clean and raw canvas that the space becomes from the use of all gray and simple lines comes the fresh and colourful furniture that gives a pop of life to the space. The raw materials, concrete and metal, goes perfectly with the softer and colourful tones of the furniture, and the warmth of the plants, giving to the restaurant a unique refreshing quality.
The space full of smart connecting elements, like the colour and the absence of colour, also uses lot’s of circles throughout the whole space in order to connect visually the spaces together. This elements are present in the décor —lighting, mirrors, and openings that flow thought out the rooms.
