Charlie Davidson was born in England on 30th December 1970 and he is a designer of products, spaces and films.
Dadidson is graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic 1992 (BA Furniture Design) and upon his graduation he presented his collection at the New Designers show in London. He has designed street furniture, car adverts and toys.
LEGO thought is work interesting, so they offered him a of a creative visionary and concept designer position on a freelance basis making toys.
Before concentrating on his passion for designing furniture and light, he was on the way of into art direction, set design in TV and fashion photography. He worked with Tim Walker and Shona Heath in this area. A experience to not forget for this designer.

Nowadays, Davidson splits his time between Sweden and the UK. His studio have been participating in many exhibitions in Frankfurt, London, Milan, New York and Tokyo and he counts with some awards.
His recognized work is inspired in technology, processes, materials and nature always having in mind his believes: “Design it simply, make it beautifully and be sure it’s necessary”.

Like an explosion or eruption frozen in time, the Black-Light hangs like an ominous cloud projecting rays of intense coloured light from within its torn and twisted surface. Some kind of a volcano look! It looks hot.
