Colin Roberts’s Art has Humour and Mystery

From sculpture to drawings and installations that explore themes around the fragile human condition. Colin Roberts is the master of plexiglass. His most well-known creations are the  Kaleidoscopic Plexiglass Pillows, and ghosts. “The Glass Pillows reflect my interests in light and architecture.”

His constant exploration of materials and techniques combine with uncanny imagery from a vast array of cultural sources. His to willing present and past to create a careful balance between humor, mystery, and science.
Forget the disco ball, we want Kaleidoscopic Plexiglass from Colin Roberts!
His works go further in shapes, forms and style, like “Lillypad Waterfall Sunset 2020” Sculpture or “Bubblewrap Man”.

Colin received his BFA from Otis School of Art and Design in 2001. He’s had solo exhibitions at Steve Turner Gallery, Patricia Faure Gallery, and Monte Vista Projects. Colin has participated in exhibitions at The Skirball Center, Mark Moore Gallery, June Lee Contemporary, Gavin Brown’s Passerby Gallery NY, Torrance Art Museum, The Depart Foundation, FOCA, Brand Library, LAMAG, Wolf and Galentz Berlin, and many others.
