Didier Ltd is a jewel galery located in 66b Kensington Church Street in west London, and it is a pretty recent company.
Didier and Martine Haspeslagh began to focus in jewels artists in 2006 but they only opened the space in 2011.
As we, already said, the gallery is specialized in jewels and it represents the most international renowned contemporary masters of painting and sculpture. These same artists are capable of create amazing jewels. Produced in small editions (often as personal gifts), they reflect their vision and expression in unique pieces, out of their comfort zone.
According to Alexander Calder these sculpture, designed to be worn are “a living work of art”. The New York Times even risked to describe the gallery as having “something like who’s who of modern art in jewelry form”
In their collection they presents over 200 jewels by over 100 different artists, between the decades of 40’s until the 80’s, and that’s what makes this space so unique. Among this huge range of artist are some well-known in the history, names like Picasso, Giacometti, Dalí, Man Ray, etc.
After being neglected for fifty years this overlooked expression of the artists’s work is now regaining international recognition.
