The year was 1974, when Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid, the artist that recreates spaces and makes the real unreal.

This Spanish artist is a reference in design’s world, considered one of the 100 most relevant creators of our times and Wallpaper magazine has listed him as one of the most influential creators of the last decade.

His hands make magic in art, decoration and design, his trick is to use objects and place them in a contemporary context. In this way, he creates furniture, products, interiors, sculptures and art Installations… always fresh and innovative.

This irreverent artist showed his potential for the first time in ‘Mediterranean Digital Baroque’ at London’s David Gill Gallery. The result was amazing and he was quickly followed by many exhibitions and installations set up in major galleries and museums worldwide. In 2008, James was guest of honor at Belgium’s Interieur Biennial, the youngest person ever to receive the accolade. Since then he has been accumulating awards from major decorating magazines in the world.

Among the many Hayon’s works, is to mention the Fantasy Collection. A project that the artist has designed for Lladro, which is the perfect fusion between the artistic quality of the Spanish porcelain brand and the playful, sureal quality the designer brings to his works.

In this collection we can expect the merge between the expression and function, a marriage between the type of work tipic of Llandro and Hayon’s creative universe. The result? Unique pieces that carry the viewer into another reality, a teleport to a fantasy world and lost thought. A return to our childhood as adults.
