Brilliant Furniture by Morentz is a brand inspired by the mid century classic furniture and is situated in the old “Van Hared” shoe factory built in 1937.
Design Gallerist presents a vision of mid century furniture by Morentz.
The Morentz collection, presented at an old shoe factory site in Waalwijk, a 5000m² warehouse, and a 700m² showroom is inspired by the twentieth-century classic furniture from the well known to the super-obscure. The showroom hosts a prime selection of the best pieces.

Their passionate team of furniture-loving professionals from upholsterers to expert-woodworkers makes sure that everything leaving the workshop is restored to former glory or newly upholstered according to the client personal taste.
They offer a bespoke service, so the client can have the classic furniture in any fabric or leather possible, everything in this factory building within the most fantastic stained-glass windows that stands out like some kind of modernist cathedral.
Restoring vintage furniture and leathers is a Morentz specialty, the amount of restoration is determined by the tastes and desires of the client. Matthijs Hoveijn’s, owner and founder of this brand own preference would usually be to leave some of the patina behind. For Hoveijn’s “Restoration is a very fine art, he says, and one he takes very seriously. “In Dutch, we have the word verzorgd, which I think in English means ‘cared for’ — but with fine craftsmanship,” he explains.
