The Parisian studio – Les ateliers Tristan & Sagitta – was invited to connect the floor and age-old block of mansions not the 17th arrondissement of the city. Design Gallerist hope that you can appreciate this modern decor and environment Paris Apartment.
“The main challenge of this renovation is to find the place of a ladder as discreet as possible” said the architects
A white metal staircase connects the two floors of this Parisian apartment, which the local studio Les Ateliers Tristan & Sagitta renovate to make room for the two youngest guests. To link the two floors, the architects suspended a white metal staircase framed from the top floor plaque. They also used a palette of contrasting materials to define zones within the open plan rooms of the apartment.
A small storage area is integrated at the bottom of the staircase, which features solid wood steps. But the top of the stairs has risers and handrails open, allowing a light to filter between the two floors and reduce their visual impact on space.
Like standard combination plates and mounts used for the living room, it occupies an area without foot of stairs. Here, space is flooded by the light of two full height glass doors and decorated with pot plants, which are suspended from the frame of the stairs. White cabinets and wooden elements are used to connect the spaces.

About the Parisian Studio
THE WORKSHOPS TRISTAN & SAGITTA is a deeply motivated by the interest of the public and the improvement of the living environment. The workshop is officially created in 2014 by Lucie Hardelay and Tristan Ponsot.
“We consider the building elements not as products brimming with concrete crystals but as resources whose management and implementation are at the heart of economic problems across the country. This is our focus on the issue of sustainability. The building is not a set of consumables but a structure that can be metamorphosed in time. Materiality appears to us as the backbone of the identity of the place of implantation, two aspects that today are disconnected.”
