SPAZIO ROSSANA ORLANDI * Milan Design 2014

To Celebrate her fifth anniversary  the French design Brand Moustache is exhibiting as a “breathing” installation at Spazio Rossana Orlandi from 8 to 13 April during Milan’s design week.

The Half Decade Beast installation of new and existing designs by Moustache, created by French designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, will pulsate and appear to breathe. The installation include a chair by Dutch duo Scholten & Baijings with textile ribbons woven around a lacquered metal frame to create the seat and back.

Alive and breathing, the Half decade Beast, his slow and assured breathing, has 10 new projects to show which open up and prospect new ways for publishing and production.

Luca Nichetto and Lera Moiseeva designed for Dymov Ceramics the Cheburashka table set, that will be presented at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during Milan Design Week 2014.

The Cheburashka project, which has the purpose of emphasizing food sharing, takes shape on these observations.

The set is composed of a larger, collective container, from which to take any food, with large handles that make carrying easy, and a lid that, if reversed, becomes a handy flat base for the large serving spoon.

The name is inspired by Cheburashka, an odd-looking and big-eared little animal character, who grew very popular in children’s literature of the former Soviet Union. Cheburashka is also an old russian word signifying float of fishing net.

At Milan Design Week Seletti will also present a collection of tableware and tablecloths born from the collaboration with Maurizio Cattelan’s and Pierpaolo Ferrari’s magazine at Spazio Rossana Orlandi.

Black humor dipped in pastel colors: born out of the meeting between Seletti and Toiletpaper, Maurizio Cattelan’s and Pierpaolo Ferrari’s image only magazine, a collection of plates, mugs and tablecloths will be presented during Milan Design Week.

Tin and oilcloth are the materials used in the Toiletpaper Seletti collection, and they are perfectly aligned with the pop spirit of the magazine: cheap and widespread.

DESIGN GALLERIST will continue to give you fantastic news on the art and design world. We like, as much as you, to read all about the newest design ideas, the latest project, the best designers and so on.
