Whose here is a fan of museums? Today Design Gallerist brings to you a Stunning Subterranean Museum Built Beneath The Sand Dunes In China. One of the newest and most innovative art galleries in China has been opened at the seaside resort town of Beidaihe, on the outskirts of Qinhuangdao and a few hours from Beijing.
Space was designed by US/China-based design house OPEN Architecture (OA), the Dune Art Museum is described by its new owners as “simple, pure, and touching – a return to primal and timeless forms of space.”
This description is primarily because the 930 square meter museum, which includes ten galleries (three outdoor and seven indoor) and a café, disappears beneath the sand behind its flowing entrances.
DESIGN GALLERIST will continue to give you fantastic news on the art and design world.
