Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna in 1971, contemporary designer Alberto Biagetti lives and works in Milan. He opened his atelier in 2003 to focus on work in which the creative disciplines of art, design, fashion, and architecture and digital approaches.
Biagetti’s creative diverse projects range from furniture and interiors to installations, websites, and paintings. Biagetti’s work has been exhibited in esteemed galleries and institutions, including Galerie Italienne, Hangar Bicocca, Cartiere Vannucci, Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea, and the Marconi Gallery.
In 2013 the Atelier Biagetti created a Vincent chair series, a collection of chairs hand crafted, made of fibres. Biagetti was inspired by the Italian chairs that the grandmothers used to keep in their kitchens and by the famous painting ‘Vincent’s chair with pipe’ by Vincent Van Gogh.
Every one of these pieces is unique and handcrafted, a point of pride for the designer, this collection was no exception. The unexpected material combined with a traditional shape makes this collection unique, bold and interesting.
