Viktor & Rolf and Studio Job*Highway to hell

The fashion Dutch fashion brand Viktor & Rolf and Studio Job are continuing their super collaboration! This time they  presented their  work in Paris on  1 March 2014 with a super irreverent fashion show ‘ Highway to hell’.

In this dramatic show Studio Job transformed the catwalk into a grey tarmac road complete with white traffic marking and street lights! Although the  urban and underground side of the collection, they definitely showed a sophisticated side.

Viktor&Rolf’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection is in the same spirit as their felted Paris boutique where iconic references are transformed into something modern and new. Using the iconic grey melange knit v-neck sweater as an inspiration, the collection plays with this archetype to create surreal effects.

Traditionally a more masculine piece, the musings on the grey sweater are feminine, comfortable and urban. Proportions are exaggerated and there is a play on two and three dimensional interpretations of knit stitches.
