Today Design Gallerist brings to you an antique and luxury interior design shop the 1stdibs that just got an upgrade in its location. From a spot at the must-visit series of showrooms in New York Design Center, the high-end online marketplace moves to the Terminal Stores building, right in the center of New York City. The new space filled with auctioned design and art pieces will open to the public today.
What was once the home of the legendary nightclub The Tunnel is now the gallery for the most exquisite art and furniture. Located in the late-19th-century brick warehouse and relay station, the now official store place for 1stdibs will showcase more than 50-odd exhibitors and luxury interior design pieces.
While in its New York Design Center residence, visiting the shop was considered a jaw-dropping experience. Now, we can only expect it to be full of surprises and iconic furnishings and movements for every luxury interior design fan and expert.
Covet House and Boca do Lobo among online exhibitors
1stdibs’ e-commerce expansion results in this move, with the possibility of housing now in the new space over 4,000 dealers from 28 countries. Among their online exhibitors is Portuguese brand Covet House, that keeps bringing us luxury furniture with their sophisticated touch.
While the online shop still offers an amazing collection for design and art lovers, the New York-based luxurious interior design shop 1stdibs will surely get a lot of attention and make you step into a dreamlike area.
